Jeezy and Jeannie Mai, who were married for two years, have decided to end their marriage.
Jeezy, whose real name is Jay Wayne Jenkins, filed for divorce in Fulton County Superior Court, citing their separation and the existence of a prenuptial agreement.
He’s also seeking joint legal custody of their daughter, Monaco, born in January 2022.
Their romantic journey began in early 2019 and became official in April of that year. They got engaged in April 2020 and eventually married in March 2021 at their Atlanta home, altering their plans due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
In September 2021, they announced they were expecting their first child together, and Jeannie gave birth to Monaco in January 2022.
Jeannie has openly shared her love for motherhood, describing it as a transformative experience that has given her a newfound sense of confidence and purpose.
