Pop stars Demi Lovato and Taylor Swift were childhood friends who had a falling out but later reconciled.
There doesn’t seem to be any animosity between them. Demi Lovato performed at the MTV Video Music Awards and Taylor Swift showed her support by dancing and singing along in the audience.
Lovato even shared videos of this on her social media. When a Swift fan account posted a video of Taylor dancing to Lovato’s song “Cool for the Summer,” Demi responded with heart emojis.
During an Instagram Live session, Lovato expressed pride in her performance and appreciated the audience’s positive reaction, especially from Taylor Swift and Kelsea Ballerini, who were seen dancing to her music.
While they were friends in their youth, Demi Lovato and Taylor Swift had a public falling out in 2016.
Lovato criticized Swift’s “squad” for their body images and previously called out Swift’s lack of political activism. Demi was once managed by Scooter Braun, a known adversary of Swift’s who owned the rights to her early music, prompting her to re-record her albums.
However, Lovato and Braun have since parted ways professionally, and Demi has expressed support for Swift, even praising her “Lover” album on social media in 2019, which led to a thankful response from Taylor Swift.
